Ello mum,
When I awoke this morning and looked out the window, the sky was abundant with dark and dreary rain clouds. I tried my best not to let it affect my mood, but it was hard knowing that at any moment, the heavens could open up, release its fury, and keep me from exploring High Wycombe. Hopeful, Alix and I prepared for the day, whatever the outcome. After eating and watching Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, we decided to brave the chance of a storm. A few minutes of walking, and as luck would have it, it began to rain. We were just glad that we hadn’t gone too far from Pam’s flat. Paul offered us a ride to the Eden shopping center, and we gladly accepted. You might think, once you’ve seen one mall, you’ve seen them all. To me, this isn’t so. Wandering from store to store, finding the unique quality that lies within them, is one of my favorite past times. Anyway, Alix and I found many stores, but there was a particular dress store that caught our eye. There was a dress in the window that Alix wanted to try on (this was a huge break through for her. She NEVER wants to try anything on.) Upon finding the dress, I found a few of my own. When she came out of the dressing room in her dress, we both knew that she was destined to have it. I had found a similar dress (with a few details and designs different) and I almost didn’t get it, but with a push from Alix, we contentedly walked out of the store, a dress each (you have to see them, they’re gorgeous.) After more stores, trying on piles of clothes, and Alix’s depression when she didn’t buy the shoes that she adored because they didn’t match her dress, we got hungry and ate at a Subway’s. It rained on and off all day, but only in short showers. Soon after, the stores started to close. We called Pam for a ride home and she picked us up no problem.
Well, good night mommy! I love you!
<3 always,
Your Rae of Sunshine
