Ello mum,
I woke up this morning, the sun shining, birds chirping, filled with hope that today would be the day that Alix and I would do something. As I got ready, the sound of birds chirping began to fade. The light in my room dimmed. I assumed that it was just a cloud passing by. To my dismay, the pitter patter of raindrops grew louder and louder upon the rooftop. As I slowly opened the curtain, with every inch revealing the storm outside, the burning fire of my hope was put out. The very same wall of clouds that has plagued the skies for the past two or three days was back, yet again. Could I not have this one victory, this one freedom? I cursed the sky… and it rained harder. I apologized and finished getting ready. Alix and I watched Monsters VS Aliens to entertain ourselves until Paul or Pam got home. When the movie was finished, I decided to pick up Jane Eyre. Paul beat Pam home again and we watched The Golden Compass with him until Pam got home. We had planned on asking him for a ride into town, but he fell asleep in the middle of the movie, so we let him sleep. Pam came home and she helped us do our laundry because we were running out of clean clothes to wear. We had lasagna for dinner (but it wasn’t nearly as good as yours is, so you’re still the reigning queen of lasagna.) We watched more TV, but Jane Eyre was calling my name.
Well, I hope I have something a bit more interesting to write you tomorrow! I love and miss you dearly mommy.
<3 always,
Your Rae of Sunshine
